TOUGH. GIRLS. WAIT
It was amazing! I feel we really got real and started talking about in depth what we should be doing while waiting. It was not sugar-coated at alllllll!

When I heard about the “Wait Training” conference, I was excited because it sounded like a great idea, however, I did not expect it to be as wonderful as it was. First of all, it was more formal and more organized than I expected; I thought it was going to be more laid back, but as I walked in the building, I was astounded of how much thought (and time) was put into organizing the event. Even the water bottles had the ‘wait training’ logos on them. Till this day, I still have my name tag glued to my journal with the verse Psalm 27:14 inscribed on it.
To continue, I appreciated the worship session because I love to worship God. Despite the formality of the event, I was still free to worship God like David did—which basically means that I was able to make a fool of myself without any judgments or criticism.
Also, the conference opened my eyes to a world that I have been avoiding for many years: the world of Marriage. One of the exercises was to write down some details of what you would want your wedding day to look like. I was caught off guard because my wedding day is not something that I like to think about—and that is why the conference was so important: it pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
There were many other surprises during the conference, including a wedding dress. I was speechless to see how much knowledge and wisdom that was gifted to us—young ladies. I also enjoyed the freedom to ask questions about love, sex, and more. I particularly like the session where the married couples were able to share their marriage journey with us. The married men shared with us what they think a ‘man’ is looking for in a woman, and the married women also shared with us some tips and tricks to have a healthy household.
Overall, this conference was amazing. Aside from all the surprises, I enjoyed being around these women—young and old—to share and learn about marriage. In the past, I would have felt awkward being in a place with so many women, however during the conference, I learned the power of sisterhood; the environment felt safe and nurturing—and love was permeating the air.
I was so blessed by this conference, and I cannot wait to experience it again.

I attended The Wait Training Boot Camp in 2018 that was led by Pastor Larissa Jean. It was a great event that really blessed me and opened my eyes to things I did not realize I needed to know. At first, I was very skeptical of the event because I did not know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Every speaker along with their teachings were anointed and spirit led. I really appreciated the realness of the whole event; the leaders did not sugarcoat the things of God. They also took the time to answer questions and make sure we all understood what was being said. Alongside the awesome teachings I had time to fellowship with women, receive prayer, and have hope that as a young woman of God , it is possible to wait on the Lord and stay pure before Him. I was blessed beyond words. I will forever be grateful to God and the beautiful ministers for an amazing experience that has helped me strengthen my walk with the Lord. God bless!

My experience at Wait Training was amazing. It felt great to know that I’m not alone. I understood more about relationships, and the importance of loving and value myself and putting God at the top, middle, and end of my heart and in my relationship. I learned the importance of being patient during that waiting period. I learned not to be afraid to talk to others about the fear of marriage and how to look at it differently. Finally, I learned that the more you wait, the better the reward will be from God.

Hi ladies! My name is Chantal. The Wait Training Boot Camp was an amazing experience for me. A friend now my sister, Rose, invited me for this boot camp and she honestly didn't prepare me, lol. The wisdom from Pastor Larissa and some amazing women who taught gave me a foundational knowledge of marriage. I am now learning to soar in my singleness(it's not a disease and marriage is not the cure, y’all!!). Overall, Pastor Larissa inspired me with her journey( attend it and find out) and I'm forever grateful to God for allowing me to be there in 2018! Glory to Jesus!
